1. be characteristic of：为…所特有，是…的特点
Simple language and clear style are characteristic of his writing.简洁的语言和明晰的风格是他写作的特点。
2. no more than：仅仅Dont be too hard on him ， he is no more than a child.不要对他太苛刻，他只不过是个孩子。
He is no more than a singer .他只不过是个歌手。
3. identify…with：把…和…等同起来He identifies her happiness with his own .他认为她的幸福就是自己的幸福。
4. as well as：除…之外（也），和，以及He speaks Spanish as well as English他不但会讲英语，也会讲西班牙语。
His children as well as his wife were invited to the party.不但他太太，连他的孩子都被邀请参加了那次聚会。
The book tells about Lu Xuns works， and his life as well.这本书讲述鲁迅的著作和他的生活。
5. put up with：忍受，容忍
I cant put up with the loud noise there.我忍受不了那里巨大的噪音。
辨析：come up with提出，想出They have come up with a good idea.他们已经想出了一个好主意。
